Another wee study for this Giraffe picture I've been asked to do.

I have been using graphite sticks alot lately and I must say I find them so much easier to use than the traditional pencil. :)

I guess Giraffes fur is very much like on a horse, very short hairs, never really got close enough to a giraffe to check lol ;) :giggle:

i think the picture is quite to dark, but it's only my personal opinion ;)

thats awsum, i tried 2 draw a giraffe, it didnt want 2 happen so i let it go... 4 now.

no problem.
the valour is hard part of the shading, i have always problems with the lighting in the picture when i draw.

:giggle: First time I tried drawing a giraffe, it didnt go too well because they are just so odd looking. But never give up! :)

Yeah, that's why I was pretty doubtful to call it "fur". If someone says word 'fur' it brings my mind fur like wolves have or something. ^^

i like this drawing! you never see anyone draw a giraffe! i really love those crazy things on the top of giraffe's heads.
they're so weird. ...cute:)!
